Welcome to our web site!

Blood transfusion is a philosophy of sharing & caring on the basis of understanding in depth the call of humanity crying for compassion and respect.

Blood transfusion envisages many activities which are very critical for saving life of a patient. Collection of blood from healthy donors, testing for various diseases, processing for preparing different components, testing for compatibility, storage in ideal conditions and distributing for transfusion are the main functions of a Blood Bank. Each step needs utmost care to ensure safe and uneventful blood transfusion.

The aim of blood transfusion is to correct a documented deficiency of blood or it's components that will not respond to other modes of treatment and provide the patient with life support in the absence of safer alternatives.

The potential benefits of blood transfusion should always be weighed against the risks involved. All blood transfusions have inherent hazards inspite of taking best of precautions.

Blood transfusions are used to treat many types of anaemia ( lack of red cells ), and to replace blood loss in accidents and during surgery. The recent ability to separate various components of blood, has largely helped in making blood transfusion more efficacious, safe , judicious and cost effective .
